Get Wacky X : Thanksgiving was a blast! I couldn't believe how many people made the journey to the south side. It is quite a distance from its original location but the extra miles were worth it. Darling Hall has by far been the best venue for Get Wacky yet. Wouldn't you agree?

Despite all odds GW is back back baby got back again on Saturday, September 3rd a date perhaps better known as Juiceboxxx's birthday! The name is no lie, there will be treatza pizza's from that font of dairy royalty known as the queen.

IMPORTANT: due to the uptightness of the landed gentry we the GW Cabal - Juice, Squeeze, Clint, Tyson - regret to inform you that Get Wacky will NO LONGER be held at the General Store.

The new location will be announced tomorrow (Friday 2) in just enough time for you to plan your escape route for Get Wacky VIII: the treatza pizza xxxtravaganza and Juiceboxxx birthday party on SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 3.

We have survived our half-year birthday party and are all the way back, live and direct once again. Saturday, August 6th 9-2 at the General Store.

To celebrate our newfound maturity Get Wacky is now on the wagon. If you want to get slizzered you're gonna' have to bring your own.

The theme for The Roast is Dress as your favorite foliage or grillable object.

Put some fucking thought into it this time and you will be rewarded- the first ever Get Wacky Costume Fashion Show goes down at Midnight- thirty. Be there with the best you got to wear.

In the socialist tradition the show will be judged by you an yours and the winners will be rewarded with all sorts of weird crap and the admiration of the masses.

It's $5 to get in $3 in your foliage finery and in addition to sweat stains we are now providing limited edition Get Wacky merchandise.

You want it you need it.

The General Store is the shit for a lot of reasons, the least of which being that Tyson has encouraged us and helped us push Get Wacky to the limits, lets us use the space, cleans up after you pigs, dispenses Sharpie tattoos, and in general (he he he) helps take things to the next level.

Thank you Tyson.

Le General Store is also the shit because it has art shows by awesome artists from all over and supports artists from Milwaukee as well by selling their clothing, crafts, cds, cassettes, zines, and all other manners of art.

The shows in the gallery are from all over:painter Nick Lowe (not Peace, Love, and Understanding Nick Lowe), phots by Chris Smith, and Laura Owens who was, I believe, the first show at the General Store. (Laura Owens recently had a huge solo show @ the Milwaukee Art Museum and has a couple pieces on exhibit and in their permanent collection).

Not as bad as it sounds, GW III is not the third horseman of the apocalypse/the newest addition to the newcular family. No, it is GET WACKY THE THREE going down April 2nd.

If you have an idea for a theme/incentive for le tres please post a comment or some such below. Undoubtedly you know how to do that.

Ideas under consideration: bullfighting (Willy you know who you are); black light/white clothing/my yellow teeth; _______ (your suggestion here). Do it.

The deux was a massive success. Much thanks to everyone that came, sweated, and got fuckin wacky. We - von Partyzone and myself - love and thank all 30 a y'all.

Best 'costume' goes to Eric 'Mr. Maraschino'/Electric Pants Schoen. Unfortunately his wackiness could not be confined to photographic representation - we did not suceed in capturing his soul - and so you'll just have to remember fondly or be salty on this one.

There were a number of MVPs: Paul fucking tore it up with and without the mini-toy-keytar.
The woman in the blue dress and leg warmers was incredible (if you were the waitress I was terrible to at Barossa on my birthday I'd like to apologize, the pea greens/garam masala/soy situation was not your fault). Everyone who rocked the podium during the prince/midnight star/kay-gee's episode was phenomenal but just as there is no 'I' in team neither is there a 'you guys' and so the rest of you will remain unnamed but certainly not unloved.

I'm sorry Tyson that there were not more Twizzlers. Next time.
